It has been a mild winter up until the middle of March. Just when you thought winter was over and spring has showed it's face, BOOM! Inches, and in some cases feet, of snow blanket much of Pennsylvania by way of a classic March winter storm. On the positive side, the snow we did get will soon be gone, if it is not already, along most banks across the state. Perfect timing for youth trout fishing, which is set to kick off this weekend with the first of two mentored youth trout fishing days.
Brief Guide to Mentored Youth Trout Fishing in Pennsylvania
Youth Fishing | By FISH THIS Staff
It is challenging to get kids involved in the outdoors. Computers, tablets and video games consume our lives and are somewhat needed to be successful in the changing world we live in. The mentored youth trout fishing days provide an opportunity to get kids out fishing with low pressure and fully stocked trout streams and lakes. Reducing fishing pressure and increasing angling opportunities is perhaps the best way to start and keep kids engaged with fishing. Mentored youth trout fishing in Pennsylvania is a program that checks all these boxes.
